課程的教學(xué)目的與任務(wù)

該課程在《基礎(chǔ)英語(yǔ)2》的基礎(chǔ)上,通過(guò)精讀精講風(fēng)格各異的英美作家的文章,讓學(xué)生了解豐富的語(yǔ)言現(xiàn)象,欣賞并學(xué)習(xí)作家獨(dú)特的寫(xiě)作技巧;提高學(xué)生對(duì)英語(yǔ)的詞匯、語(yǔ)法和習(xí)慣搭配等知識(shí)學(xué)習(xí)的系統(tǒng)性,使學(xué)生的詞匯量接近6000,能讀懂中等難度或中等偏上難度的原著。教師創(chuàng)設(shè)課堂語(yǔ)言環(huán)境鍛煉學(xué)生的聽(tīng)說(shuō)能力,利用課后配套練習(xí)提高學(xué)生的做題技巧,為學(xué)生順利通過(guò)專(zhuān)業(yè)四級(jí)考試(TEM-4)做準(zhǔn)備。自本冊(cè)起,開(kāi)始增加中英互譯的比重,以提高學(xué)生對(duì)兩種語(yǔ)言異同的認(rèn)識(shí),并為最終培養(yǎng)翻譯技巧打下基礎(chǔ)。學(xué)習(xí)的重點(diǎn)是高頻語(yǔ)匯的用法、英語(yǔ)國(guó)家的文化風(fēng)俗習(xí)慣和作者的寫(xiě)作風(fēng)格等。

課程的基本要求

通過(guò)本課程學(xué)習(xí),提高學(xué)生的綜合語(yǔ)言能力,具體而言:

1、語(yǔ)音:發(fā)音正確;較好地掌握朗讀和說(shuō)話的節(jié)奏感;掌握語(yǔ)流中的語(yǔ)音變化規(guī)律、連讀、爆破和語(yǔ)音同化等技巧。

2、語(yǔ)法:熟練掌握主語(yǔ)從句、同位語(yǔ)從句、倒裝句和各種條件句。

3、詞匯:認(rèn)知詞匯5,000—6,000個(gè),熟練使用2,500—3,000個(gè)。

4、聽(tīng)力:聽(tīng)懂英語(yǔ)國(guó)家人士關(guān)于日常生活和社會(huì)生活的談話;聽(tīng)懂VOA正常速度和BBC新聞節(jié)目的主要內(nèi)容;15分鐘內(nèi)聽(tīng)寫(xiě)150詞左右的普通短文,語(yǔ)速為每分鐘120詞,錯(cuò)誤率不超過(guò)8%。

5、口語(yǔ):能就日常生活話題與英語(yǔ)國(guó)家人士進(jìn)行交談,語(yǔ)言得體,表達(dá)比較流暢。

6、閱讀:能閱讀淺顯材料以及Reader’s Digest,速度為每分鐘120-160個(gè)單詞;能夠在5分鐘內(nèi)速讀8,00詞左右、中等難度的文章并掌握大意。

7、寫(xiě)作:能在30分鐘內(nèi)寫(xiě)出150--200個(gè)單詞的短文,語(yǔ)言正確,能書(shū)寫(xiě)基本應(yīng)用文。

8、翻譯:能獨(dú)立完成課程中的各項(xiàng)翻譯練習(xí),語(yǔ)言通順。

9、工具書(shū)使用:能熟練使用《英漢大詞典》、Oxford Advanced English Dictionary、Longman Dictionary of Contemporary English等工具書(shū)獨(dú)立解決語(yǔ)言問(wèn)題。

10、文化素養(yǎng):了解英語(yǔ)語(yǔ)言國(guó)家的主要文化傳統(tǒng),具有一定的人文知識(shí)和科技知識(shí),具有較強(qiáng)的創(chuàng)新能力。
